Dr. Paul Yang
Dr. Yang’s path in medicine began with early exposure to eastern medicine practices—growing up in an Asian household where health was nurtured through daily habits of nutrition, movement, and care. His journey continued through personal experience in athletics, including high school basketball and collegiate soccer, where he gained a deeper insight into movement and performance. A knee injury in college ultimately shifted his focus away from athletics and sparked a deeper interest in medicine and long-term recovery.
Initially interested in orthopedics, Dr. Yang discovered that Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) aligned more closely with his values, offering a broader view of recovery, function, and long-term wellness. He earned his medical degree from Loma Linda University School of Medicine in 2016 and completed his PM&R residency in 2020. During his final year, he served as Chief Resident—a role that strengthened his ability to lead, collaborate, and advocate for comprehensive patient care.

His professional background spans hospital inpatient rehabilitation, post-acute care facilities, and private outpatient clinics, giving him a holistic approach to recovery and long-term wellness. However, navigating the constraints of traditional healthcare made it clear to him that patients deserve high-touch, expert-driven care that prioritizes recovery, function, and long-term well-being—beyond symptom management.
In 2021, following the birth of his daughter, Dr. Yang envisioned a more refined, highly tailored approach—one that delivers the caliber of care discerning patients deserve. This vision became Autobiography Health, a practice where luxury meets medicine, and where every patient receives the kind of attentive, highly personalized treatment that is all too rare in modern healthcare.
